CoastlineBEACH WATER TEMPERATURES ON THE WEB

The United States has more than 95,000 miles of coast line and more than 3.4 million square miles of ocean. More than one half of the U.S. population lives and works within 50 miles of the coastline. About 180 million people visit our coastlines each year, and most Americans spend at least ten days a year near a coast. Before getting into it, check out ocean water temperatures on the Web.

The National Oceanographic Data Center has placed beach temperatures from U.S. beaches online. The temperatures give data based on averages, as well as near real-time temperatures from some locations. The beaches include all coasts of the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii.
