Pacific Coral Reefs We who live in the Pacific--and those who visit here--are fortunate to be able to experience the amazing underwater world of coral reefs. Hawaii and American Samoa are among the most geographically isolated group of islands in the world. Evolution has produced animals and plants that are found no where else. Understanding and learning about them will help us to protect them. This coral book was created to provide the reader with an introduction to the Pacific's fascinating coral reef ecosystem.
